PN Program with a Career-Driven Curriculum

As mentioned above, our goal is to prepare students for PN licensure and entry-level employment. To achieve this mission, we developed multiple learning resources to nurture and accommodate our students. For example, Reno students can access various labs in our simulation center.

This center contains high-fidelity simulators and sim-view technology, including a Medical Surgical Nursing Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The simulation center also features two furnished patient rooms: one for Pediatrics with infant and child simulators, a crib, and a youth bed; another includes a birthing simulator, a bassinet for newborns, and a delivery bed.

Our curriculum is tailored to prepare jobseekers for the increasingly complex demands of nursing. Many of our Practical Nursing Courses cover industry-relevant topics, such as:

  • Nursing Fundamentals – Theory
  • Nursing Fundamentals – Clinical/Skills
  • Introduction to Pharmacology
  • Medical-Surgical – Theory
  • Medical-Surgical – Clinical
  • Maternal and Newborn
  • Pediatrics
  • Professional Development
