Medical Assistant Program with a Career-Driven Curriculum
The MA curriculum utilizes a diverse approach to better educate our students. While some Medical Assistant courses are taught in a classroom, you will also learn through hands-on training.
Throughout our program, you will gain critical knowledge about laboratory techniques, clinical procedures, pharmaceutical principles, medication administration, and first aid. Other important topics include patient relations and medical law. Most importantly, you will learn about ethics in the healthcare field.
Our program also provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Medical Assisting profession. Simulation training and supervised externships will allow you to graduate with practical experience on your resume. Many of our graduates may find work in clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals, nursing care facilities, and other medical settings.

The Sacramento Campus
Our 13,400 square ft. campus is located near Commerce Gardens and the American River. Instruction takes place in various classrooms and skills labs. You will also benefit from a library, a student lounge, and several administrative and clerical areas.
All the programs offered at our Sacramento campus can be completed in a year or less. In 2014-2015, our campus was recognized as a “School of Excellence” by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This award recognizes ACCSC-accredited institutions for their efforts in demonstrating a high level of achievement among their students and a commitment to the accreditation process.

Class Caps & Flexible Schedule
Other benefits of our Sacramento campus include:+ Class Caps. Our MA program utilizes class caps—specifically, MA classes are capped at 30 students—which allows instructors to spend more time with each student.
+ Morning & Evening Hours. Generally speaking, we are open on weekdays from 8:00 am to 10:50 pm. Occasionally, our campus is also open on Saturdays for testing by appointment.

Do you need Medical Assistant certification to work in the field?
Certification is not a California or federal requirement for Medical Assistants. However, graduates of our Sacramento program may be qualified to take several certification exams. These include the NCCT exam for the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) credential and the American Medical Technologists (AMT) to gain the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
