What You’ll Learn

In the accelerated San Jose BSN program, you’ll engage in a career-focused curriculum that seamlessly integrates classroom theory, immersive simulation lab experiences, and real-world clinical rotations. Throughout the program, you’ll build a strong foundation across essential nursing specialties, including adult health, maternal and newborn care, pediatrics, pharmacology, mental health, and leadership in professional nursing practice. By enrolling in our BSN courses, you will be trained to perform the following nursing duties and responsibilities:

Recording patient medical histories and symptoms
Administering patient medications and treatments
Supporting and contributing to new or existing treatment plans
Observing and recording patient health and responses to treatment
Consulting patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries
Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals

Admissions Requirements for the San Jose BSN Program

To enroll in our BSN program, our admissions requirements include the following steps:

1 Submit proof of high school education or equivalent

2 Receive a score of at least 19 on the “Scholastic Level Exam – Q” (SLE-Q) to begin the application and ranking selection process

3 Submit a copy of a government-issued photo ID

4 Score a minimum of 58.7% on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)

5 Complete a background check and drug screen before starting your clinical

6 Complete all financing arrangements

BSN Training with a Career-Driven Curriculum

In order to provide you with well-rounded learning experience, the San Jose BSN program provides clinical simulations and online nursing classes. In addition, Unitek College’s nursing classes are delivered in a blended format. Some components are offered in person, while some are completed online. The program includes 120 units to earn your BSN degree.
