Complex Adult Health – Theory: The course focuses on adult patients with unstable emergent critical illnesses. Students integrate nursing, technological and scientific knowledge with clinical judgment to potentiate optimal health with a diverse patient population.
Complex Adult Health – Clinical: The course focuses on adult patients with unstable emergent critical illnesses. Students integrate nursing, technological and scientific knowledge with clinical judgment to potentiate optimal health with a diverse patient population.
Maternal/Newborn – Theory: This course, sometimes referred to as an “OB” or “Obstetrics” course, provides theoretical instruction on the care of women during stages of pregnancy and care of newborns.
Maternal/Newborn – Clinical: Clinical experience is provided in multiple healthcare settings. The Benner Model from Novice to Expert, the concepts from Jean Watson’s Caring Theory, and NLN Roles of Practice will all be used within the framework of the nursing process to implement care for culturally diverse maternal/newborn clients.

Our Fremont campus is a great entry point for international nurses. In Fremont, our RN students are also within walking distance of several clinical partners. They also utilize various simulation facilities and medical mannequins. Services Included in Program Cost

In addition to the RN course requirements, international graduates must also complete several other steps to work in California. These include fingerprinting, background checks, and application fees. At our Fremont campus, the following services are included within your tuition:

Various Simulation Labs

Our Fremont campus also maintains two skills labs and three simulation labs. Each one contains patient-care stations, which simulate actual hospital settings. The main skills lab offers a furnished study area for students. In each lab, you will have access to storage cabinets with supplies and medical equipment.
